AS SIDEMAN
SIMON PHILLIPS “ANOTHER LIFETIME” 1997, Lipstick/Magna Carta Records
My second recording with Simon; personnel includes bass legend Anthony Jackson along with Simon’s touring band: Andy Timmons and Ray Russell on guitars; Jeff Babko on keyboards, and Peter Michael Escovedo added on percussion. Elliot Scheiner, engineer.
SIMON PHILLIPS “OUT OF THE BLUE” 1998, Lipstick Records-The live album from Simon’s second European tour. “Out of the Blue” captures great performances of Simon’s touring group of the day. Andy Timmons is phenomenal, Jeff Babko sizzles on keys, Jerry Watts Jr. plays great bass, and Simon turns in more fiery and stellar performances.
SIMON PHILLIPS “SYMBIOSIS” 1995, Lipstick Records
My first recording with Simon; personnel includes bassists John Pena, Jimmy Earl, Mike Porcaro;Ray Russell on guitar, Mitch Forman on keyboards, and Sheila Escovedo added on percussion. This was a blast for me to be a part of.
